The Waaswaaganing Institute of Teaching and Learning (WIITL) is dedicated to advancing educational excellence, equity, and reform in Lac du Flambeau and beyond. Rooted in the wisdom, values, and heritage of the Ojibwe people, WIITL strives to empower learners of all ages through culturally centered programs that foster academic growth, personal resilience, and community engagement. By honoring tradition and embracing innovation, we aim to inspire lifelong learning, nurture future leaders, and contribute to the transformation of educational practices for a more inclusive and equitable future.

We have started our expansion into the Waadwasganing Adawe storefront mall and will be open for business on May15.

2026 President’s Community Engagementmay Award Winners Announced

The Medical College of Wisconsin’s (MCW) Office of Community Engagement is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2026 President’s Community Engagement Awards. These prestigious awards honor the exceptional community engagement work of MCW faculty, staff, students, and community partners or programs.

We invite you to join John R. Raymond, Sr., MD, president and chief executive officer of MCW, and Staci Young, PhD, senior associate dean for community engagement, as we celebrate these remarkable individuals for their dedication to making a meaningful impact.
